Our 90-Day Standard Warranty
At Texas Auto and Truck Salvage, we test and certify our components before they are ever placed in inventory. Because of our rigorous testing process on both mechanical and electrical OEM used parts, we confidently provide an industry-leading standard warranty that protects your investment and ensures peace of mind when undertaking major automotive repairs.
Mechanical Part Coverage
90-Days on Engines & Transmissions
Engines and transmissions are guaranteed to operate under normal driving parameters for exactly 90 days from the original date of purchase/invoice. In the rare event of a mechanical failure within this warranty period, Texas Auto & Salvage will repair, replace, or refund the part based on inventory availability and management approval.
- Engines: The warranty exclusively covers the engine block, cylinder head(s), and all internal lubricated parts. Accessories attached to the engine (e.g., water pump, alternators, sensors, fuel injectors, intake/exhaust manifolds) are left on for convenience but are explicitly NOT covered under the engine warranty block.
- Transmissions: Transmissions are guaranteed to shift properly with good internal parts. The warranty requires that the installer flushed the transmission cooling lines radiatior and filled the unit with manufacturer-approved transmission fluid to proper capacities.
Return Policy & Exclusions
Parts that are purchased in error or no longer needed can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, subject to a standard 20% restocking fee. Core charges are entirely refundable once the core is returned to our Sunset facility in rebuildable condition.
Important Exclusions:
- Labor costs, towing charges, and diagnostic fees are never covered under any Texas Auto & Salvage warranty. We ONLY warranty the physical part provided.
- Parts that were installed incorrectly or altered/modified by the purchaser immediately void all warranty coverage.
- Normal wear-and-tear items (brake pads, clutch discs on manual transmissions) are excluded.
- Electrical parts (ECMs, BCMs, modules) are strictly non-refundable once plugged into a vehicle to prevent short-circuiting damages. We will test and exchange defective electrical modules instead.
